Andy44Boz Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Did i hear government are on about relaxing planning permission temporarily to kickstart the building industry, and allowing householders to put up extensions etc without the usual red tape? Just drawing up ideas for my 5 car,2 storey workshop/ games room to go on the end of my bungalow just don't tell the neighbours yet
BaileyMex Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 I heard that too, There obviously will still be guidelines that'll have to be adhered too, but all for it if it helps out the Construction/Building industry
jethronoose Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Ha, Class! Im just in the process of checking out one of 2 new pads.....Just cos they have double garages? One has even room for 4 cars! The missus is happy as she can have a walk in wardrobe? Easy choice? Another 30-40k on the mortgage just to house my new MK1 Escort?
mk2harrier Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 i was talking to a builder friend of mine about this and he told me that the guidelines are so strict it may as well be the same as it was, even more red tape now. just another token jesture from the government, make it sound like they are doing you a favour but forget to mention the bad bits.
Mr2Caps Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 It's all a game, you just have to know the rules and how to play them
GJUK Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 It's great. I'll be wacking a 5-6 metre ground floor push out on my detatched house.
