Channel 5 show, Classic Car Restoration

Well, I didn't think too much of tonight's Wheeler Dealers either. That skyline looked an OK car until they fitted that god awful spoiler on the back and what's with leaving the original spoiler mounting holes just plugged with grommets?!?!

 

Plus I'm sure I heard fat boy Brewer chuck the figure of increasing from 250 to 500 bhp into the equation early in the program..............yeah right, just fitting a bigger inter-cooler is going to double the output!

Bloke sacked the painter and tryed to paint

It himself it was primed flatted ready for paint

Then when they come back its in filler again

Its the biggest load of crap ive ever seen apart

Watched it last night on 'Watch again' luckily.

 

Fast forwarded most of it, no wonder the motor trade has such

 

a bad rep when you have these w****ers on the telly !

 

Also just watched the Skyline wd episode,funny how mr Brewer

 

has to buy all of his cars 'Trade' nowadays to make any sort of profit ,

 

just like they used to 'sell' them to the crew cos they were so crap,lol.

Is anyone watching the new show on sky, Fast And Loud ?? That's reasonably decent.

The best one was Desert Car Kings that was on Discovery channel I think, always did nice car's. So sick of seeing em just do stuff like e-type's, MGB's etc on these other shows

Yep thats funny as well but the "Gasser"/??

IHow in hell are we supposed to believe they build these cars that fast??

Theres so many car resto shows on its just a shame there's no really good ones that show a full rebuild in detail.

 

I liked the restoration shows that mark 'a something is born ' wasshisname did. Can't think of the title but they did a Capri, frog eye sprite, old land cruiser and a single seat racer. Albeit it someone else did the work and he just presented the show.

 

I like those 'a something is born' shows too. Although i don't think I'd fancy flying in a plane/helicopter that I'd built myself!

 

Wheeler dealers is still good although I agree the skyline one was a bit duff. Can't blame them for trying to do something different though, they must be running short in ideas there's been so many shows.

 

Not a fan of yank tanks at all but I enjoy American horrid and overhaulin'. Their work seemed quality even if hotrod was a bit staged for drama.

 

Anyway, back to topic, Couldn't stand chop shop and can't stand the new resto one. I hate that bernie fella.

and not enough coffee to go around so no thanks. and i think this bernie thing was also meant to be at my place they rang last year and asked would i do a show about restoring classic cars of course i said no has i don't restore classic cars i only do go faster old s**t boxes prehaps i could be being slated on here insted of that bald prick
