I'll wager if someone had raced a car with a colour scheme like that back in the day, there'd be loads of them like it now. Gulf escort's had similar style stripes over the top and look how many variations of copies of those there have been over the years? For instance

thats what i've never understood why people copy or try to replicate other cars nicks mk1 is going in alan mann colours ffs how many of them out there total character loss. thats my view anyway
