Admin Vista Posted July 14, 2013 Admin Report Posted July 14, 2013 A big thank you from me to all who came and all who stopped in to chat who are members on here but were displaying with other clubs, always good to catch up at this event and at last we were blessed with Sun (and lots of it) for this big west country event. Also good to meet new members (Brummie Brent) whose girlfriend (wife?) deserves special thanks for her excellent race track making skills, Guy says can he race you again? Anyway, as always there was a huge number of club stands and private entrants and the cars on display ranged from 1930's crash box Bentleys to modern sports cars, and of course a very generous helping of superb classic Fords. For obvious reasons, it's the latter I've concentrated on for photos, with a few exceptions at the end. The Ford marque was probably the best represented of all of them with good stands from us, Obviously Ford, Duchy Capri Club, The Sporting Escort Owners Club and The Anglia Owners Club Well done to the two members who came wearing their Personalised OSF Polon Shirts (other than me) Mr 'S' and Ross Mk2, you're OSF Hardcore! Saturday, the stand to start with Deltamal enjoying a cold one This Anglia is recently bought but has evidently had an OSF custodian before as it sports a Sideways sticker in the back screen, any one know who's it was? Car of the show for me, it was absolutely stunning and the colour scheme carried through inside and out worked so well. Would probably need a hotter engine in it though This Classic Capri sported a set of Audioline 100watt shelf speakers that I just ha to take a pic of as they're probably not that much younger than the car, I think I had a pair of them in a car of mine in about 1986 and they were old then! A few cars changed on the stand for Sunday, as always there are people who can only make it for one of the two days. The Stand first (Sorry, I forgot my camera today so It's phone pics from here) Mk2 Matt Senior's turn to skulk in the shade with a cold one! Loved this Hot Rod, very cool And last but my no means least, what West Country show would be complete without a few old Chuffers? We even had a fly by from a Steam train on the adjacent West Coast mainline 1
Posse Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Nice one scott your van looked like it needed a dust off lol . Well done to all of you guys that made it to the stand .
Admin Vista Posted July 14, 2013 Author Admin Report Posted July 14, 2013 Can't win here mate, last year the showground was a floodplain, this year it was a dust bowl and our stand was adjacent to one of the main vehicle routes around the ground. Every car that went by threw up a cloud of dust
RossMK2 Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Great show again, great cars on the osf stand and a good catch up too. Well done to everyone who made it.

Admin Vista Posted July 14, 2013 Author Admin Report Posted July 14, 2013 You can camp there for £15 for two nights and there's entertainment a beer tent and food stalls on site (no showers though). Otherwise yes there are hotels around
SmokeEm Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Come on Scott. You should know that if there isn't carpet or marble underfoot, then MrsSmokeEm won't be happy...
