Doc Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Mate ..... The weather caused me to postpone the Capri getting collected ! The guy who was doing it was going to drive thruogh the snow and rain to get here overnight .... I just couldnt let him take that chance on his own . so itll be another two weeks before i can get the car away . Better safe than sorry i guess Fair play to Andy he was still up for doing it All good things come to those who wait

bortaf Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Whats up with the points? stick a new set in only cost a couple of quid or theres 2 or 3 fiesta leccy dists on ebay
Mr Sam Posted February 9, 2007 Author Report Posted February 9, 2007 points last me a monthif that cheers ill take a look
bortaf Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Sounds like the condensor is shagged if they burn out all the time, if the plastic heel wears the dist shaft bearing could be shagged or the cams are worn to a sharp ridge, either way a leccy one is a step up
deluxe Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 i probably live in the coldest and most humid place on earth so i have experience that a few times. One thing that usually helps for a while is to spray some "contact protect". Remove the corrosion first.
