Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 10, 2014 Admin Report Posted February 10, 2014 So .... how are the floods affecting you? Here in the north of Hampshire/Surrey borders it's not too bad although a main A road has been closed more than once due to flooding but not like Somerset etc.
XjamesX Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Worcester is real bad. Hasn't effected me yet as I'm only there to either play football or / and to see my girlfriend, and luckily I can take a route to hers that avoids going through the town or over the main bridge. Obviously they are terrible because of the damage and distruption, but...........they are pretty damn cool to look at. Main problem all this rain has cause me is that we haven't played a Sunday league game since Christmas because of waterlogged pitches!
Admin Vista Posted February 10, 2014 Admin Report Posted February 10, 2014 Hasn't affected me at all. I live half way up a hill, I reckon if the water level keeps rising I might be able to flog my house as a lakeside property kerr-ching! 2
Veemax Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 We seem ok here in Newark (between Lincoln & Nottingham) although the river Trent is close to burstin its banks!, gotta be Orrible for people thats living it, I just hope not many classics are starting to swim in their garages an lockups around the country 1
mk2 mike Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 In otford Kent all the rivers burst their banks weeks ago. Some roads in the local villages are closed but it's not really affecting me as there are alternative routes around the closures. Getting VERY bored of the rain now.
DT36 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 My lad is based in the South West with the Army and he is on Flood Relief duties. 1
over_head_cam Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I'm near the A22 in Purley. There's no floods as yet but flood prevention measures mean all the roads are shut bar one. Haven't seen any boats yet so fingers crossed 1
PaulMags Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 today was really nice here untill half hour ago we had thunder really bad.

Fiesta Steve Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 The Rother has burst it's banks big time in places on the kent/Sussex boarder but there are next to no property's in those areas, just fields. Also the roads are quite high up so still passable. So not effecting me much, yet..
over_head_cam Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Alltheoldyeah, my cousins ex husband and son work there. They won't say whether it's working or not lol but there's a flood warning for us!

Bufort Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 Fine for me... I have to ride my motorbike through the Staines area to get to work in Windsor, but the floods and the cancelled trains because of Datchet's flooding means I get to work from home!
5tox Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 No flooding here in the fens but those violent winds last night knocked down almost every fencing panel in my back garden
