Harry128 Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 the things that we sell on ebay we say cash on pickup so then there is no mix ups
Rick Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 as a seller on ebay iv had a few items vanish in the post. do you refund them and take their word?? i list my items as no returns/if goes missing not my fault if they then bid im assuming they are happy with those terms. its easy to be conned as a seller aswell as a buyer, especially where paypal is concerned who almost always favour the buyer, regardless of evidenmce provided, receipts etc.

Jay_harrier Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Maaan, just been following these threads on the other forums, Mercs, campers, Micras (yes really) this is massive. People on other forums are taking it out on the moderators and admins which is not fair - I doubt these guys are getting paid to do this job. I guess we have to use our sense and not penalise the genuine sellers, just be wary of anyone who will post only, paypal only, no photos, no landline etc etc. A word of warning about Paypal generally, you are unlikely to get your full amount back also see this site: www.nopaypal.com - it highlights some of the issues in the way Paypal operates, you waive some of your rights by using it.
Rick Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 I got scamed about a year ago and ended up round his house with a few big blokes and he shat him self got our money back and abit extra for the trouble HEHE dont blame ya mate, it dont usually come to that just threatening to has worked for me in the past, sometimes they think that yourt not gonna travel across the uk for £40 but if you tell them your a lorry driver or you work near them they soon pay up
Admin Vista Posted February 18, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 18, 2007 I got scamed about a year ago and ended up round his house with a few big blokes and he shat him self got our money back and abit extra for the trouble HEHE dont blame ya mate, it dont usually come to that just threatening to has worked for me in the past, sometimes they think that yourt not gonna travel across the uk for £40 but if you tell them your a lorry driver or you work near them they soon pay up It's a brave man who makes threats against an unkown adversary. Plus you're breaking the law by doing it. I had someone try it on me once (I hasten to add I'd done nothing wrong, you can't send things back for a refund just coz you don't need them after all), I had his name, address telephone number and all the threats on record and passed them straight to the police. He was arrested and cautioned and I never heard another peep.
crapichris Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 just had a look at ebay, currently the bid is up to £6400. How did he get the pictures of the engine if he ain't genuine?
