To spot or not

The program the other night got me thinking whether the Mk1 looks better without the spots for that 'Sarf London' looks. So lets vote, to spot or not......

I took mine off my mk2 as I thought it looked cluttered and 'busy' but I think they suit the mk 1 better. I'd say keep them!

And I'll tell you for why, as a boy I remember Mk1 escorts on the TV rally stages, they made a ferocious sound and came leaping over crests all angry and snarly with LIGHTS shouting at you from the front.

There are different types of lights though that arent all huge cibies. The Ford/Carello lights from the factory they used on Mk2 Sports, Mexicos and Australian 2Lt Rally Packs, are quite thin and petite and dont extend beyond the bumpers. I took them off for a time but put them back on for originality. The main problem with them however is their look is about their only purpose, as lights they are so wide and weak you dont get much advantage over high beam.

I think it suits some, others it doesn't whether it be mk1 or 2. Yours looks good and if you like em keep em, simples. Everyone's got things they do and don't like. Just don't leave your car with jeff Harris lol!!
