BaileyMex Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Well after an epic CF show and an awesome drive up there full of enthusiastic plastic baiting the Mex's brake hoses started to give me grief and locking up the O/S caliper just as I got to the Pod. Drive home was......slow and cautious lol Where is the best place to get a braided hose kit from aside from Burtons? experience's anyone?
SAF_Capri Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 I made my own, used a local hydraulic hose company. Not too hard as long as you make the end cuts square
katana Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 There is someone on here that was doing a 3 line set for about 30 quid - bit dearer than making them yourself which i've always done - but at that price its a no brainer especially if not confident to make your own.
BaileyMex Posted June 2, 2014 Author Report Posted June 2, 2014 I was hoping for an off the shelf next day delivery to hopefully get them fitted in time for Bromley Pageant Sunday
james1700 Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 I've always had goodridge and never had an issue, I'll admit they aren't at the cheap end of the range but I've had them on all my cars and bikes over the years! You will have to double check if you've got metric or imperial unions though but the usual suspects stock them, rally design, burton power etc James 1
Admin Vista Posted June 2, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 2, 2014 Just get standard original fit rubber hoses from your local factors mate, cheap as chips and I challenge you to really notice the difference in every day road use.
BaileyMex Posted June 2, 2014 Author Report Posted June 2, 2014 Cheers all, to be honest I just need them fixing before the weekend
damian1969josh Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 rally design do them be del in a couple of days ...
105Charlie Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Ordered mine from rally design after the off the shelves didn't fit, ordered at about 12pm Thursday and got them Friday morning! Can't fault them either and they had all the right fittings for half the price
qwerty Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I've ordered a set of MLR ones from ebay after reading a few good reviews on various forums. Not very helpful as I can't comment on quality yet.
BaileyMex Posted June 3, 2014 Author Report Posted June 3, 2014 Well after thinking gojng to replace with normal hoses, for the times it gets used I think they will be up to the job. Cheers for the replies people ☺ 1
