Excuse the probably daft question but can I put an automatic choke on twin 40's without using some kind of management ?

If the answer is yes, what & where do I need to go to get this sorted ?

Cheers

I found with mine 3 pumps of the throttle then it normally starts on the button if not been left for months. Im not sure if many car that had 40's as a factory fit would of had a auto or a man coke

same here, 4 slow pumps on my 45's and she fires on the button

Same for me, a few pumps and away she goes. Though I do need to feather the throttle a little till it warms up a bit

I used to have a nova sport which are fitted with 40's , that used to have a manual choke on it, alrho has the others have said I just used to pump the throttle twice and it always started.

My Dellorto 40's have a man choke but i think it beacuse they cam off a car that would of had them from factory, from what i can see its a valve that allows air out to allow it to run richer. sounds terrible like huge air leak....welll i guess it is a huge air leak  :dope:

Mine is pull choke out, turn key and hey presto it starts. No pumping needed.

Maybe you have an underlying problem that needs sorting out?
