Twinkle Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 some things go for srupid money and others wont sell on ebay? the twin cam engine didnt even make reserve so looks like im gonna be out of the running for the osfdc this year as i just cant afford to build the car and on top of that still get charged £65 for listing it

And I guess it just depends on whos after the item at that specific time as to wether it actually sells for what its worth or not! Shouldnt think you would see too many of your motors on ebay either!!! You just have to be lucky... For instance there is a set of dellortos that sold on ebay a couple of days ago for over 400notes! Ive put mine on there (photos can be decieving but mine look to be in much better condition) and they are only at 200! Ok theres 3 days to go but the chances of them reaching the money the others went for is very small!!!

Blimey ,didnt realise putting reserves on cost that much i didnt realise they charged so much for reserve listing tbh but im glad i did in a way as i couldnt afford to let it go for what it bid upto, and i honestly thought it would of got to the reserve as i have seen lots of twin cams that havent been rebuilt go for more than my reserve
Rick Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 most ebayers are after a cheap item, i hate it when they expect to take something valuable for nothing. id advertise the engine in forums and specialist places as ebay just doesnt attract the right sort of people for an item like that what did/do you want for it btw

james p Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 i had a tilt bed trailer on there the outher day over 30 watchers and did not evan make the £500 startin bid ? its mad weve sold a trailer made of angle iron and a transit axel for £300 but the tilt bed dint make £500 let alone the reserve
