front indicators

Hey guys

 

How come I keep seeing cars like MK1 capri's without front indicators? I thought you HAD to have them?

 

Reason is I want to do a twin headlamp conversion and I want to remove the bumpers completely as well

the indicators on the mk1 capri are not in the bumper but the front plate like the mk1 escort

Not quite true.

 

Mk1 Prefacelift capris had them outboard of the headlights, Facelift mk 1 capris had them in the bumper corners.

Yeah the the pre-facelift had them next to the lights, the facelift in the bumpers and the RS3100 in the quater bumpers too. Also the special ones had them sunken into the front panel.

 

But I have seen a few modified capris that haven't got indicators on the front at all.

Maybe they had them but were very small or hidden.

 

I don't think there are any laws to say how big they have to be.

i think for the mot, you need front facing indicators.....

On a pre-facelift square headlight model I think theywere clear lenses so it would look like part of the headlight at first glance

the ones i'm on about have twin round jobbies, which is what I want but I mite have to do with mk3 lights as mk1 quaddies are £££££££
