popeye Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Jeremy ClarksonNow don't get me wrong... I've watched Top Gear from the start ,it's a good entertaining program. But I do fell enough is enough.... he likes to walk close to the edge with his comments, but I do feel it's time to go.Meet all 3 at the NECClarkson is full of himself ( but good when not slagging people off )Hammond follows Clarkson like a small child ( likes to use the f word to much for me)James May is excellent.... good to chat to , and listens . He should be the front man for Top Gear... Well that's my view What's yours.....................................................................
banarama Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 hes cool just got a good sense of humour ,some people take him the wrong way. cos they got no sense of humour. 1
Admin Vista Posted March 10, 2015 Admin Report Posted March 10, 2015 We live in a PC world where people are castigated for expressing viewpoints that don't conform to the masses, so I'm thankful that there are people like him on TV who are prepared to stick two fingers up to the bleeding hearts and artists.......even if I do acknowledge that he's a bit of an oaf. 4

mk2 mike Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 I met Clarkson back in the very early 90s when he was a journalist. A couple of my mates wrote for Car and car conversions magazine and I was invited along to a bash where JC was also invited. My first impression was he's a grade A penis and I still stand by that 30-odd years later. I agree James May should be the Lead. (He seems on the face of it) a nice chap Although his acting on the totally staged top gear is atrocious lol.
Danish Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 even if I do acknowledge that he's a bit of an oaf. Is he though? Or is the "oaf" just a character he puts on for the telly?
eeb43 Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 he is very subdued on the telly you should see him at a show!!!!!!!!!
brettp Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 I think top gears gone down the pan crap races a bike a bus a moped across a a1000 miles all end up in the same place a minute apart and the way clarkson talks I find iritating .Street outlaws on the other hand although on closed roads is the nuts 2
ianb10 Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Well it seams the BBC have just suspended him and Top Gear has been taken off the air. It sounds like he had a confrontation with a producer and he hit him. So what are we going to watch on a Sunday evening now???
2512pf Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I tnink its great in a pc world where people still say what they think rather than what they are told,no clarkson no top gear imo
John escort mk1V6 Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I tnink its great in a pc world where people still say what they think rather than what they are told,no clarkson no top gear imo Yes for how long becourse Bigg Brother is watching , they want Retards Club/interweb under control , look at the camera`s everywhere , smart fhone`s , smart tv`s. There much more example`s. 1
Tackleberry Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Marmite...if don't like it, don't eat it. Clarkson..if you don't like him, don't watch him. Too much political correctness bollox in the world nowadays in my eyes. You can't even fart without breaching someone's human rights. Yes, he sails close to the wind, but says what a lot of us all think. If they bin him from Top gear, then the pink and fluffy brigade have won. Viva Le revolution!!!!! ✌ 2
PeterMEscort Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 "Too much political correctness bollox in the world nowadays in my eyes." Same here in Australia. Increasing levels of scrutiny and accountability from governments. Almost nil ability for personal defence.
Admin Vista Posted March 11, 2015 Admin Report Posted March 11, 2015 I confess that my opinion has altered slightly on learning that he punched one of the producers. Even without hearing both sides of the story, I've no place or time for violence in the work place (or any other place for that matter). Once you hit someone you're in the wrong even if the base for your argument was right in the first place.
SmokeEm Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 As above but I am not certain if the punch actually landed or wether it was merely a blind swing never intended to land. Either way, I don't condone violence.
2512pf Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I agree ive just read the sun so its got to be true? no if he had punched someone he should be punished.i have no time for violence in or out of the work place
Tackleberry Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Everybody's entitled to an opinion and that's what forums are for.. Some have said they don't condone violence or words to that effect, but, playing devils advocate, you catch someone trying to nick your car...I'm sure you'd happily twat them if the opportunity arose.? (Extreme example I know). It's not all or nothing, sometimes people get so wound up they rightly or wrongly lash out... We'll never know the correct version of what happened as those who support him will water it down, those who don't will ramp it up... Love him or hate, he is who he is..and if he's done wrong then so be it..yes he can be a cock, but that's why we watch him..He's provocative but occasionally raises valid arguments..plus, I love Top Gear and it wouldn't be the same without him... 2
scootlife Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 He's the John Terry of Car TV programmes. He's good, but the media don't like him and will go out of their way to bring him down. I too think that if he has punched someone at work for no reason then he she be punished ... at work ... BUT... Whats it got to do with the programme being axed for the last 3 shows ?? Just petty BBC do gooders. Why should viewers suffer because of it ??? they covered up enough over Jimmy Saville and others ???? I bet ITV are rubbing their hands together hoping to get in on the action. I hear that Clarkson owns the rights to Top Gear but can't say for sure. The others will follow too. Most of the UK love him and his antics and the show. A trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum will confirm this with all the Top Gear stuff on display.
Admin Vista Posted March 11, 2015 Admin Report Posted March 11, 2015 I think he sold the production company some time ago. So he punched someone because his dinner wasn't ready? Really?? http://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/jeremy-clarkson-suspended-james-may-confirms-top-gear-host-was-in-a-dust-up-with-producer-over-dinner/ar-AA9DjZ9
Savvi Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 As many know i worked on the show in 2008 and he was a prat then, ive actually thought the current series is slightly better then previous ones, a guy who only shouts abuse at others who work with him is someone id rather stay away from, James and Richard on the other hand totally different and i often had decent conversations with then as they were happy to come and sit by us in the break times and chew the fat like any other work collegues do. The other one spoke to me on ......... no shouted at me . once in 6 mths, i considered myself lucky others it was every 5 minutes !!! I think like most people who do well in life, he just turned his nose up at normal people and thought it funny by trying to degrade them ,,,,,,,,,,, although i will say he does take part in a charity auction / evening for the local hospital every year and if filming always makes sure hes away early enough to ensure he attends. 3
chugg-a-boom Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 There's many an arrogant bigot in the public eye, running a large corporation, country etc. but there ain't many what makes me proper belly laugh like Jezza the hapless idiot when he's with the other two. Now that's a skill! Yep, really you should dislike him, and by the sounds of it some of those who've met him personally do. But I find him and Top Gear funny. Yes it's staged and scripted, but it wouldn't be half as funny otherwise same as all tv shows especially comedy, Have I Got News For You, Russell Howard, QI, all comedy panel shows etc etc. By the way, I do not condone punching. Unless maybe it was Mike Brewer on the receiving end. I think we could let that one slide 2
brettp Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Guy martin would make a top top gear presenter 4
chugg-a-boom Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 James May has summed it up great "He's a knob, but I quite like him"
mk2 mike Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Guy martin would make a top top gear presenter Now that's a great idea. Clarkson out, Martin in.
