This was basically the factory in Aveley in Essex where Fords built the performance versions of the mk1 Escort range and certain 1300e' s I think!! . The factory only lasted 5 years before the fuel crisis led to its closure in 1975 . It's now been bulldozed for housing .its a Shame as I would have loved to have taken my Mexico there and taken photos . Regards . David
