We went. Great weather - Great stand position - Great cars - Great banter ( Colin, great to meet you and your friend who's name escaped me. And Jeff who's lovely mk2 escort mexico was parked next to me, I am well jealous of that Ashton lump!).

So Colin next year drive down in an escort (because you love them!) or a Tina. The anglebox would be a great track car! Talking of track cars, those focus RS do sound like a jet fighter going down the straight at full chat!

All in all a great day.............roll in next year!

Well done on the gearbox front............and having looked further at the power steering option, I think that motor has to sit the opposite way, I. E. To the right, so would not foul the centre consul?

Great too catch up with you, your such a p$€s taker.........but all in good taste. Cheers for the ice cream.......where's my pig! Laters mate

There's a lot of focus and fiesta but loads of nice old stuff and track action was good

Mate if your capri is the v8 , which I think it is, that was hammering round the track good on ya, my god it sounded like thor, who I hope was the god of thunder! Brilliant, but me and my Mrs cringed when I told her what you were probably doing to the gallon at full chat. But it did sound a go a treat!

My first year at silverstone but I was impressed by the amount of quality cars new and old stuff. I thought I was sad by polishing things and presenting vehicles for show but some of those fiesta and focus boys really need some therapy and get out a bit more! Hats off to them some were brilliant and presented in more than immaculate almost clinical condition which takes a lot of dedication. So well done to those lads and lasses. Can't wait for next year!

Well done everyone who came and showed the new stuff we are still about,

Sorry we were slightly late and not there to say hello and park all of you, we were only running 10-15mins late but obviously got caught in traffic because of that.

For me it's like this, we all know there are way to many fiesta and focus ST's and RS's, thats not having i dig at the cars i have a ST myself. However we need to be there. This was the best turnout we have had for a few years, and as all the old skools were properly together it made it as good as possible. We had pretty much centre stage with the lots of people wandering round all day.

There are alot of people who moan about new focus etc. but this year they were all parked together and it's simple, if you don't like them walk past and look for old stuff. It's one of them things, the more old skool fords we get on the stand, the better the show for all of us interested in them.

Anyway glad you enjoyed yourselves took a couple of pics

The stand was good although unfortunately didn't stay on it long as limited time at the show and wanted to see everything. Had a chat with the guy who has the other red escort an import shell, also spoke to the guy in the orange Mexico about his engine. Thanks to the Fiesta Somerset people for offering me some oil and also the guys from Aberdeen.

Nice pics Pete, have you noticed people are looking at the anglia not the escorts.must be a minority car! Some thing different. Or maybe felt sorry for the little one surrounded by ESCORTS.
