nigelghia571 Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Hi All Just joined the forum as I have just purchased a Cortina MK5 2.0 Ghia similar to one I owned over 30 years ago. I'm not new to classic cars but this is my first Classic Ford and I absolutely love it. Looking forward to using it and attending shows. Could also do with some pointers as to fluid types etc used in the 2.0 Litre engine (assume its a Pinto) as Im assuming 20/w50 oil and blue antifreeze (Ethylene Glycol Based with Silicate inhibitor) but cannot seem to find many pointers on the internet. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks NT
Admin Vista Posted August 18, 2015 Admin Report Posted August 18, 2015 Welcome to OSF Yes re 20/50 and blue Antifreeze. Many of use Valvoline VR1 20/50 racing oil but there are cheaper options out there.
