went to the I.O.W. show today and i would have to say it is the best O.S.F. day out i'v had so far

i had a great day and it was my first proper drive of my mk1 escort (hampshire rsoc stand)which was fun lol, i saw you lot leave early and was told you were going for a drive round the island???

It was a truly fab day ..... 'AVE IT !!!!!!

 

What a great bunch of friends you all are ..... cool ferry ride, nice location - thanks for the invite to your show Graham G5COS of the IOWRSOC, great swinging ship (eh Amanda ), TOBOGGAN's - how's your burn Kev Nice drive in the countryside .... cable car down to the beach at the needles, boat trip out to the needles (how far did those caves go??), nice steady drive back to the ferry - sadly no rolling burnouts but how good did it sound when we all fired up on the ferry Nice meal in the pub after (shame you couldn't stay Mark & Marty/Kate).

 

THAT IS A VERY BRIEF SUMMING UP AND ALL IN ONE DAY

Thanks people, the show did'nt quite look the same when you left and if i thought i could get away with it, i would of joined you on your trip round the Island thanks again for coming down and maybe next year we can do something together over here again.

Gordon i think youve read my post wrong mate but the hants turn out was great................... me (escort mk1) my dad (anglia) my mum (cossie) dave f (cossie) and deano (frst) as we live right next to the IOW i think we should have had at least a 3 times bigger turn out than that but as i said above my post last night was saying how much fun i had in my mk1 on its first proper drive and that i was on the hants stand.

 

I`m King sick of being in the rsoc and from now on i will either go with the rs2000-16v board or old skool ford to shows depending on what i drive oh yeah and next year i want to do as many track days as poss

Both Amy and myself had a great time yesterday. Good job the weather improved from the downpour in early morning, otherwise we would never had experienced the toboggan! (Although it might have improved the slides ). Thanks to Graham for the invite to the show, to Jo for organising ferries and for navigating over there and to everyone else for making it a brilliant (and educational) old skool trip
