Hi,

It seems like a reasonable price and in not too bad condition.

Best to go and have a look. It'll be cheaper because it's a 4 door mk2 RS. Despite it being a genuine RS (Australian import) as we didn't get 4 door RS escorts in this country, many people are ignorant of their existence and don't recognise it as an RS.

Welcome ! yes it will certainly be a talking point on one hand as its rare, but on the other hand for me i would feel like i had to convince anyone its a genuine one all the time for those who dont know but if you dont mind that then you'll have a gorgeous car there !

Personal opinion is that it definately isnt an Aussie 4door rs as if im right they had a petrol tank ( long range) across the boot floor .

 

But im sure if you ask Rally Pack 200 on here he will look at the pictures and confirm or hit it on the head .

. Like a lot of old fords that are creeping up to forty years old parts get changed

I remember some expert telling me in 2003 that my 63 lotus cortina must be a replica because it had the wrong interior light switch!!!

So my advice is check the strength plates check speedo cable bracket check spare wheel bracket and of course paperwork

Or even better take someone who knows what there looking at
