colr6 Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 With the surprised sale of KERMIT (the flat fronted one) announced last week by its owner PeteRS8084, it wasn't long before I got to know the full implications of the sale. Not only are we losing a great car from the OSF club along with its owner Pete. Who with his short time with the club has become well known for his car and of course Kermit the frog attending all the meets with his owner. Pete is one of the likeable characters of the forum of which I had the pleasure of getting to know well in my short time on OSF world. The ram infliction of his departure were soon made known to me. It was an unusual time for my drive alarm to go off, of which I soon found the cause. Was it a cat or a dog wandering down my drive NO NO NO! So the saying of every dog has its day comes to mind THANKS PETE for dropping this one on me! So Kermy soon getting his feet back into familier territory made himself at home So don't worry Pete the grand- daughter has taken a liking to him and found him a new home ( phew thought I was going to have to put up with the beer swilling smelly thing) On a more serious note its been a pleasure knowing you Pete with your vast knowledge of electronic ign systems witty and sarcastic banter at times. Made me welcome to the OSF club so thanks for that. (Along with others of course) The car along with yourself and Kermy will be missed but even though you are now OS Fordless hope you continue with your input on the forum and pop and see us and say hello when the meets are near you. ....here's hoping you miss the old girl that much you get another and come back into the fold...... So think I can say along with a few others sad to see you and Kermy go. But best of luck with what you do with your time next. GOOD LUCK. Cheers COL 7
PeteRS8084 Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 Cheers col, I am touched as always. The good news is that kermit the flat fronted one was sold to a member of the forum, so you will see him about, alas without me. I will still be about on here to ensure that the banter continues and to keep the anglia and cortina drivers in check. Cheers again guys, and in the words of a famous class film "It's been emotional!" Pete 2
