Photos taken about 1990. Was powered by a 2 litre pinto.

Twin bottle 3 stage nitrous system. Ran low 12s and used to lift the wheels and launch really well

Most panels were fibreglass including the roof. Only the rear quarters and back panel were steel

Most of the floor was aluminium

i will try to find an engine bay pic, not sure that i have any close ups ... didn't seem important at the time.  has various different engine specs over the years. the final spec was ;

All steel / forged pistons / total seal piston rings / ceramic coated pistons & ports / dry sump system / full race head with david vizard shaped inlet /  exhaust ports .  sorry can't remember cam spec / twin 50 carbs.  MSD ignition system / crank triggered / wasted spark (no distributor) .  RS500 block, wills rings.  twin plate paddle clutch with a very heavy flightwheel ! (not light as you might expect)  i think the flywheel was from an XR4x4

plus the trick 3 stage nitrous system - various jettings were tried

12.3 I can't remember terminal speed. After we sold it it ran in the 11s. Would love to know what happened to it

When did you sell it on? It was last taxed in 1991 so been gone around 25 years.

If you're on Retards Club join the Classic Custom Cars group, someone on there may know its fate.

Yes pretty mental. The gearbox was a borg warner t5. With standard internals. And never broke anything in it. The back axle / diff was an 8 inch ford. With 4.9 gears. We also tried a powerglide auto box. But that didn't work out very well I don't think there was enough torque in a high revving 4 pot
