ive posted on Retards Club asking similar question about the repro stuff, few replys ive had say, there good no problems so far, ones had a set in a road rally car for a few years, bit more research before i buy one cheers for the reply.

does anyone have a 4.1 atlas cwp for sale please, would prefer a genuine ford one, ive seen the new one on ebay for £600, bit out of my budget, are the repro ones any good anyone got experiance with the copys ? cheers.

i bought these rods with the intention of getting a 2.2 pinto built, change of plan so thy are up for sale, need machining to make them work £150 cheers 🙂

thanks for your replys guys, cheapest alloy rad i found is about £150, or there is a black one i like which is £170, i will need to change my bottom hose though as the rad in mine i think is one from a cortina as its got 90 degree elbows top and bottom cheers.

so over the holiday ive been on a lightening mission again with my escort. i removed the radiator to gain acess to the inside parts of the front panel to clean up and repaint, i didnt realise how much my brass/copper radiator weighs, 6kg with the fan attached, just wondering if its worth me swopping it out for an alloy one, does anyone have one sitting in there garage waiting to be fitted that they could weigh for me to give me a comparison ? as its a race car we did talk about a smaller rad holding less water, but if i ever get to take it drifting, it will probably end up boiling its knackers of so maybe we'll just stick with a full size one. cheers. 🙂

yes i had a bit of a good buy today, ive been on the lookout for a 1600 pinto head, the early type as it seems the later eco type are no good, mate had an engine in his garage, its been played about with he said, had a vernier on it, ports are a bit rusty, and the cam is buggered, which is a shame as it says 285 on the end of it, went round today to pull it off the block and it looks like its got big valves in it aswell, happy dayz for the bargain price of 50 quid

whats a heater, you boys are so lucky to be out cruising the streets, maybe one day i will return my race car to street duty, but till then will just have to make do with tearing it up at the pod, enjoy the few weekends left, as that winter hibernation is fast approaching 😎
