BIGKEV Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Well I nearly met my end yesterday - Whilst replacing a 100 year old Stack pipe on this house - the top 4 foot of pipe decided to come crashing down on top of me - I just thought to look up to make sure the Pipe was still in place only to find this Cast Iron Pipe coming straight for me Head - With Mongoose like reactions I jumped out of the way and shielded my head from the Deadly menace about to kill me and my Arm took a proper Pounding - First thoughts was broken but I could still move it and my fingers - But the Pain was just awful.. Moral of this little ditty - Dont work

BIGKEV Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 Crazy thing is - its 8mm Cast Iron Pipe but the bit that snapped had rusted right through - You could have knocked into it and it would have fell on your head!!! Anyone with Cast Iron Pipes dont call me !!

I know , spent many an hour cursing mine...worst accident (so far) trying to pull some wire through a conduit - pliers slipped - whoops a fine impression of quality plier left in my nose got to do more ladder work next week - gutters - how do you fancy my chances ? oh yeah...isn,t it amazing how fast the skin regrows on your knuckles !
