Just picked up a parcel shelf.. It's got a light grey cloth cover but need to darken it. What's the best way?

I used vinyl spray on the one I did for my Escort. Its designed to soak in rather than just coat the surface.

He's in Australia so unlikely on both counts

Any old car spray will do. Mine looked ok using spray cans from local car shop.i even put some things carpet in the cut outs
