I thought when you subscribed the magazine was supposed to be delivered before it comes out in the shops? I know it came out yesterday, it's only one day , but mines not here again! It wasn't last month either, and there have been a few other times in my subscribership (if that's a word). It seems to me by the time I've waited a couple of days, then phoned up, then waited a few more days for it to finally come I might have well gone to the shop, had a flick through, and decided whether or not to buy in or not? Plus that way you also get the freebie bits that you don't seem to get if you're a subscriber ?

Same here. It's always in the shops before I get it in the post. I've cancelled my subscription

Bummer. :-(

The mags are meant to be posted out from the printers on the Tuesday before the mag goes on-sale Friday. After that, it's down to Royal Mail to do their job.

I've asked if there were any problems with the subs copies of this (and last month's...) issue, but I've yet to hear back from the suits.

AFAIK the shop copies don't get any freebies that subscribers would miss out on.

Thanks,

The one reason i stopped the sub was it was in the shops before mine came

Now i gave just stopped buying it as its just seems to have more and more adverts each month.

I know adverts pay for the mag but enough is enough

Im amazed its still going in the format it is because magazines are so dated

Forums and the tinternet is the only way forward

Sorry cf nothing personal just my opinion

In my area, it's only WH Smith and Asda that stock Classic Ford mag.

2512pf commented that forums and the internet are the only way forward but for me personally, nothing beats flicking through a great mag like CF.

Don't get me wrong, forums are great but physically having a magazine with fantastic photos is the best.

CF mag is the best Ford mag bar none!!

Hey CF, this is my first post, and sorry its a bit of (constructive!) criticism.

The mags great, and is a useful resource for knowing who sells what,  and your how to's are pretty useful.

Anyhow, my 2 wishes:

Any chance the subscription offers can be made available to overseas readers? We pay higher for the sub price anyhow, so it would be great if we had some sort of encouragement to subscribe just like other readers.

But by far, my biggest beef is the number of typo's and wrong spelling that are in each magazine. It just looks like it's been slapped together and no one reads what they mash out before it goes to press. It wouldn't take much to pay a granny to do a once over.  Downunder we can pay $16.00 AUD for an "express" copy, then you start reading and it you can wonder why sometimes.

I tell you what, express post me a copy every month and I can proof read it for you for  free.

I can only get it in one Tesco store on the whole Isle of Wight! Haha what puts me off sub is that you don't get a decent subscription gift, gimme a beanie or some dust caps haha

I stopped buying the mag a couple of months ago , too  many what i would describe as moderns for me . Also agree about the spelling and grammar .

i stopped buying both classic ford and retro ford a few year back now used to buy them both every month. but in my oppinion more and more newer things keep popping in them. i know its the fashion these days to have duratecs and turbo engines. but most of its just pub talk, a harris pinto will still wipe the floor with them. nothing personal, it the way of the scene these days, but i just like period mods and subtle touches. i usually flick through the mag and if theres something interesting i'll but it.
