Saluki Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Upgrading the power plant in my 1600e and will need to move my battery into the boot. I don't want a a wet battery in there so considering getting a Varley red top 25. Any thoughts or suggestions if this will do the trick? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
katana Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Its a big bike battery and a bit gutless re CCA rating so with a remote position it could be a challenge starting cold!
Admin Vista Posted April 7, 2017 Admin Report Posted April 7, 2017 The red top 25 only has 230CCA. I would go for something bigger for a battery in the boot installation. I use a rear mounted red top 40 in my Escort Van, 500CCA and never let me down. The only issue is that they only have low endurance when the engine isn't running so don't sit there with your stereo on for long.
