My Yeti has a can of mousse, at just over 3k miles I ran over a key, which dug in the tread and comprehensively fubarred the tyre. I needed full lift recovery as it was midnight Sat/Sun. I hope the numbnuts who lost his door key had his missus slap his head silly and she made him sleep outside in the rain.

I just bought 4 of these for my Mk2.

Theyy are the tyres it left the factory shod with.

Now re-manufactured.

I would be very interested in your thoughts on the re-manufactured CN36s? They apparently use modern compounds so better than the originals but not sure where in their compound range that actually puts them? Are they a long wearing road tyre or a very sporting "R" type compound for the odd track day as well? They certainly look great.

The factory fitted tyres on a MK1 Sport were 165 x 13 with no profile.

The closest wheel diameter now is a 165 80 13 or a 185 70 13.

I guess if you guys are replacing engines, boxes and diffs. then any tyre will suit!

175/70/13 were also available as an option and it was invariably these that were fitted to any car equipped with 4 spoke RS alloys.
