Jerrytom161 Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Hi guys , i am looking to sort out a seperate hazard loom for my Mk1 Escort Mexico . The problem i have is the 2 plastic multi plug shrouds have started to melt at sometime in their life so i am looking to replace them if possible , so if anyone has these in good condition or even the ones off an old loom or indicator stalk i would be grateful for any help . Also i need the dash light shroud for the hazards that fits into the dash. If anyone can help me on that one too i would very much appreciate it . Cheers . Dave.
colr6 Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 Have you tried any of the kit car loom suppliers for the plugs ? I know you can get the looms to match the Sierra column switches an the like so a possibility you may be able to get one through those channels. Any numbers on the blocks? That you can do a search on. I know you would like to keep original but a replacement male / female block may be your only alternative.

Jerrytom161 Posted December 14, 2017 Author Report Posted December 14, 2017 Cheers Ray ! .. spot on , ?. thanks for replying tho colin .
colr6 Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 I only suggested it as I have seen OE plugs on some of the looms. I wouldn't have suggested it otherwise knowing what Dave and yourself are like. Yes I have also seen the crappo on them aswell.
caprimk1v4 Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 No problem, I have new Genuine Ford Hazard looms & switches for MK1 Escort & Capri MK1 (similar but different pins on the plugs).

colr6 Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 13 minutes ago, Ray said: i see you didn't offer him the old junk off your Tina though Colin, I mean it must be similar Unfortunately the wiring on the Tina came from autosparks del Col using brass soldered bullets and rubber connectors which I believe the escort had moved to inferior plastic connector blocks and moulded bullets. Hence the problems you have with the more modern escort.
Jerrytom161 Posted December 14, 2017 Author Report Posted December 14, 2017 Dont talk about Auto sharks , have unfortunately experienced their loom on my escort , am on the lookout for a good original complete engine bay loom to replace the one i bought from them .

No the loom has not got the plug in top photo that is on another one . I only sell good condition , original parts that can actually be used on a car at reasonable starting prices . Hope this helps David .

I couldnt see any damage but was just checking as i expect the price will raise quite a bit because you akways list well and as you say sell nice items.Do you know if the loom will fit my 71 Mexico. Also do you have any others?Regards Stuart (from sittingbourne)Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Jerrytom161 Posted February 25, 2018 Author Report Posted February 25, 2018 Stuart , as far as i know ....think this can be fitted to an under dash loom that has the seperate multi plug connectors for the indicator stalk as this is where it connects into using the above photo multi plugs . Hope this helps .
