Bolts straight on. Has some home made air trumpet filters. The sound is awesome. They will need setting up for your car. Your car will start run and drive ...guaranteed.Car not included lol £175 SOUTH WALES.
preacherman Posted May 18, 2018 Author Report Posted May 18, 2018 The air filters are plastic mouldings with fine mesh to stop big flys being sucked in
preacherman Posted May 19, 2018 Author Report Posted May 19, 2018 Dgas is back on. At least it's new so should be reliable.how is yours.
DT36 Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 Lifted engine back out yesterday, as couldn't get enough decent space to change front crankshaft seal. It's on the stand now and got as far as cleaning off all gasket materials, ready for new today. I just can't seem to get any time on it. Missus either arranges stuff for me to do or work gets in the way. Got to go to Germany for a week on Monday, then back one day and she's dragging us to Cyprus. I actually wonder if I'll get it out for a run before July at all.
preacherman Posted May 20, 2018 Author Report Posted May 20, 2018 Comes with new inlet manifold gasket and block blanking plate to remove pinto petrol pump.
Monza Posted May 20, 2018 Report Posted May 20, 2018 Out of interest, why have you taken them off?Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
preacherman Posted May 20, 2018 Author Report Posted May 20, 2018 I was selling the car a few weeks ago but the buyer never contacted or turned up. So I decided to keep Brenda and get her sprayed. So I am raising some funds to get it done properly. That's the only reason. I put the weber back on so it can be still be used. The bike carbs are better though particularly at lower revs. I am a few hundred pound short of the spray job so desperate measures etc 2
Monza Posted May 20, 2018 Report Posted May 20, 2018 Good luck with getting it sprayed mate...you'll be glad you never sold it[emoji4]Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

preacherman Posted May 21, 2018 Author Report Posted May 21, 2018 Still got the car. My wife is adamant we keep it. The bike carbs are sold.
deltamal Posted May 22, 2018 Report Posted May 22, 2018 Glad you sold them! if not I would have to have bought them! but it would have meant taking off the fairly new 38 DGAS! trying to keep my 2.0 Cortina Crusader estate standard, but as in a previous topic - the voices!! 1
