Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 19, 2019 Moderator Report Posted February 19, 2019 Some complain about poor ill fitting Chinese panels but these Danish ones aren't Much Better! Proud of their work they then apply the technique to a GT40 as well! 1
Ray Posted February 19, 2019 Report Posted February 19, 2019 not quite sure what model that's supposed to be, some pics look mk1, some mk2, pic 6 looks like a mk5 cortina, but more worrying than your panels RP, looking at the front lights, if it were a mk1, didn't the alan mann mk1s have rectangular headlights 1

You're right I always thought Alan Mann Mk1s as being with square headlights. Maybe a decent square light is hard to get in the Lego world too? Which would be odd given the issues with these Lego models is that they arent round enough LOL To be fair though the rear lights are a better fit than the Chinese ones I tried for my Mk2 a couple of years back. They were so distorted if you tightened them down enough so that the rubber would seal they would snap in two.
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted February 19, 2019 I am curious what engine it is though?
colr6 Posted February 19, 2019 Report Posted February 19, 2019 The reason for discrepancies in fit is they used a Higgins shell for datum points!.....the engine ....well its a zetec with the vvt removed the engine that fitted in everything these days......lol
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 24, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted February 24, 2019 I always said that Mk2 Escorts had the design of a brick so its ironic that it actually works in Lego bricks over a curvy Mk1
