Rally Pack 2000
Collection in person would be the deal breaker for me. Its a good idea though, the more replica shells that the classic racers have at their disposal then the less originals they will use up.

Says world wide shipping in the description. Still a fair bit of money. I was getting close to that with the mex shell with panels and paying someone to weld it all together. Tony F
I've seen the same in fiberglass for £7500, Idont know what the quality was like though
katana
£16800 ! ! ! and then you still have to buy a bonnet and a boot lid so likely over £17+k - Makes the mk2's look an absolute bargain (and they are complete!)
Rich T
Would these only be good for rally use? Would be nice to have a mint rust free bodyshell. Rich

Rich Interesting question... You could build a "new" car with it and go through IVA process, which would be simple enough. OR... you could potentially rebuild an existing MK1 escort using one as a "like for like" replacement chassis, which then doesnt require any tests. Lots of it’s though and wouldn’t like to be first to try. Personally would just go IVA route for a road car.

Is that where it leaks a bit of fluid into a little test tubey thing and they pop it in a freezer to impregnate other Escorts? I thought they only did that with cows and people and stuff? 1
theduck
I don’t see IVA being that difficult really assuming the car is well screwed together. It is not as scary as most people make out, just need to build with the test in mind and familiarise yourself with the manual.
