Painterman Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 Hi i know these are not considered the best quality and fitment etc but im looking to get my mk2 mex back on the road after pinto swap. Just need need cheep system til i get stainless.so for the identical left hand exit twin box 2 inch.sportex is £92 and ashley £169 any opinions guys.cheers
Ray Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 imho sportex are sh1t, but if for only a temporary measure, the cheaper the better 1
Monza Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 Put a mex mk1 sportex twin box system on my zetec mk1escort. Think it cost about £90, couple of years ago. Bit of a tweak where it meets the zetec manifold..... works well and has done for 2 years. Cheap and cheerful.... I'd recommend one Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk 1
Painterman Posted May 16, 2020 Author Report Posted May 16, 2020 Cheers guys just wondering if worth paying double for the ashley i suspect there same "quality"

jason-nike Posted June 2, 2020 Report Posted June 2, 2020 I put this system onto mine. Mainly because I wanted a nice exhaust pipe at the back of the har. Had to do a bit of cutting to shorten pipe over axle but all sleeves are provided and had plenty spare parts It gives a nice sporty noise but not to booming. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121503930129
