Admin Vista Posted May 11, 2021 Admin Report Posted May 11, 2021 can anyone ID this axle for me from the pig's head? SA Borg Warner axle maybe? Or a Koln? Edit. Answered my own question. It's a Koln. Check google first eh?
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted May 11, 2021 Moderator Report Posted May 11, 2021 Borg Warners have 8 or 9 bold versions and the rear plate is more hexagonal. It appears to be a Koln to me.
notenoughtime Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 Koln has the offset bolts on the right that’s how I remember

The other thing was that you normally see the Koln on European LHD cars, but this is on a RHD car.

notenoughtime Posted May 12, 2021 Report Posted May 12, 2021 Did the Borg Warner come out later? As that’s a earlier shell with angled shocks
X flow Eddie Posted May 17, 2021 Report Posted May 17, 2021 My mk2 escort was a realy late German built rhd car, November 1980 if memory serves and it was fitted with a 48in wide koln axle when i bought it originally.
