chinkamon Posted March 27, 2022 Report Posted March 27, 2022 Fitted the new ( eBay new) grill today, little bas**rd was so hard to fit though, was there aftermarket ones made or were lotus ones slightly different etc? Took a fair bit of trimming an bending to make it fit like the original one an the bonnet release was touching the grill unlike my old one🤷🏻♂️ 1
Johnny Boy Posted March 27, 2022 Report Posted March 27, 2022 (edited) I think they are pretty easy to knock and damage. It wouldn't take much to knock out of shape. A small knock , over a big area = hard to fit. Looks good 👌 Edited March 27, 2022 by Johnny Boy 1
chinkamon Posted March 28, 2022 Author Report Posted March 28, 2022 It was fitted to a lotus but had 2 sets of holes drilled in it which the prev owner didn't like so sourced another. I repaired the holes so from 4ft you can't really see them. The edges on this one were about 4-6mm deeper than on my original one so had a small shave 😬 My plan is to run it for a while with the painted grill an take photos out an about then compare this winter and see which I prefer, 1
