WANTED PINTO Cam Cover Nothing Standard Essex

Before i go about cutting up the three standard covers I have in an attempt to 'create something different',  I am looking for something other than standard, and NOT a Burtons cam cover for the Pinto, even something plain may just appeal? W.H.Y?

Nice looking covers for Pintos are pretty rare. I never liked the idea of advertising for Burtons but that seems the one most seem to fit probably because its the easiest one to find. I much prefer the MotorSportTools one which is pretty good I think. I dont think they work with a standard carburettor though where you need a slight inset for the Automatic choke so these are for Twin Sidedrafts.

That does like familiar ... about 15 years ago I arranged a group buy (for members on another Ford forum) for 50 of those camcovers from a company in Germany who originally made those type of camcovers. Paid 130 Euro each for them ... the company probably made a loss as they didn't count on having to make a new mould (spelling?) halfway making the series. Newer covers had a different sized RS logo and oval.

Very Nice! I am thinking about buying a rough Burtons cover and machining off the wording, but, i then thought, why don't i try to lightly machine off the ridges of the few pinto ones i have until i'm happy? I'll give it more thought before i start playing with machinery and ideas!!!! what's the worst that can happen???? 😂

They seem to be the same basic casting. I prefer the RS Ford one personally. The RS2000 doesn't really look like its proper font.
