The NEC this year was an opportunity to look at new events for those of us who love to drive our OSF. I spotted this tour in Sept 2025 and thought I would highlight it for members to look at.

The team that do many road runs for Ford fans in other parts of the country and Europe have launched a new one for 2025 which looks an amazing event following in the footsteps of the Isle of Man TT Racers.

Attached is an initial tour advert I took a picture of.

I know we struggle in the North for great road runs so it's certainly of interest to me. Any opportunity to open up the 2nd choke on the Escort is always an incentive 🤣

No helmets required but if leather is your thing go for it 🤣

If you have any questions contact Oliver on the advert number you can get from the website and mention you heard about it through OSF.

It is, but a bit too far south for us Northerners 🤣,

Plus you have weak tea 🤣🤣

No way. Try some Smuggler's Brew.

Plus, we have proper pasties down here.

BTW @Vista we did have quite a few people ask us on the NEC stand about 2025 Tour of the Moor.

Maybe it's worth another coat of looking at.

It's not really my call Mark and I don't have capacity to help plan it next year.

@Mexican Gerbilplans it with me normally and does most / all of the route planning whilst I do the administrative stuff (and pay all the bills). But I have too much on next spring as the local Council elections are in May and I am involved in campaigning in the run up to them.

I've been visiting the Isle of Man on my motorbikes for the TT or Grand Prix every year since '97 . It really is a beautiful place that holds a certain 'magic' . I should have my Escort well on the road by September next year and the chance to drive it on the Manx roads (many of them unrestricted 😉) is very appealing !

Those prices though ?  the cheapest option (single person camping for 3 nights) works out at £470

If I choose to stay with my friends over there and give up the camping pitch then a 'ferry & event only' ticket is an extra £20 at £490 !!??

I may just book my own ferry at £260 and tag along...
