No idea beyond "they fitted what they had to hand" on any given day.

I have seen an 1100L with a 6 dial dash (not cut unless an absolute wizard did the work) and NOTHING else Luxury/Sport/Gt about it. 

I think it was a day they had a shortage of standard dashes and did a batch with better ones to keep production going......

So that day they had a box of curved dials so they made ^^^that^^^.
