bomber1 Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 a guy pulls in to the lock ups in a 3.0 csl bmw. like the ones use to race in the touring car cc back in the 70s. any way i appolgise for spreading various cars in front off other lockups anyway he says thats ok were all car nuts so aslong as i can get my trailer out im not botherd. would u be able to give me a hand with the trailer? me being me (read nosey as hell) i said yes. i moved my cars out the way then went to his garage. this is what came out off a humble council garage its a 64 lotus 7 running a 1500 pre x flow cosworth engine which the guy had been told should put out 120bhp

Wonder how many old fords are out there that none of us no about?! That cars lovely, really cleam looking! I agree, I know of a Healey 3000 & the number 4 pre production/press car Frog eyed sprite tucked away in lockups in Chiswick, I'll also mention again the 3 Metro 6R4's and a Pug 205 T16 in a guys garage when I picked up a set of Cibies 2 weeks ago. Makes you wonder how many OSF's are out there waiting to be discovered

Wessie Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 well my brother sunk his new racecar into the barrier after 3 laps, bent subframe, floor scrap minilight etc i got a 3rd in the first heat ( after blowing a tope hose off 2 laps to go), then in the 2nd heat head gasket went (cos i cooked it in the first heat ) on the last lap, managed to coast acrros the line with my temp guages at 140 and my oil pressure guage at 0 ( still managed to get 3rd tho ! )
105Nick Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Lotus is great. When I pulled into the farm shop in the Anglia the owner said that they had one of them out the back, so ran round there and it was in a field of lamas, up to its axles but a guy I know has a huge collection of classic fords, he gave me some spares free when I pulled up out side, he uses a Thames 400E camper as his daily, just built his grandaughter a MK2 tina, his wife's is a Consul Capri and has a Consul Classic, Mk1 Tina, lovely Mk1 Consul and 2 MK2 Consul/Zephyrs, had two Anglias but sold them now. Saw a guy who works at my dads works with a Mk1 Tina, which he's owned from new and uses either that or a BSA Bantam and BSA A10 as his daily transport, and a barn at a local Farm houses a Model T, VW beetle, Austin and GMC army trucks too. Our shed's just got the Issetta in now, mine are on the drive
