105Nick Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 Richard Hammond's back on track, was wheeled out at a much slower speed to the helicopter to be transferred to a hospital closer to home by the same guys who rescued him, and he even walked to the ambulance after the flight, during which he sat up and looked out of the window. The pilot told him to cover his ears as he started the turbine up and he replied "thats funny, the last thing I heard was a jet engine" He also thanked them for saving his life and gave a full review of the chopper, with its ccompact design and spacious interior. The nuerologist said he's gonna have a tough few months recovering, but obviously he is responding well and we'll see him back to his old self in six months time. Good luck little man!
