If you go onto Kent's web site you can down load the cataloge in pdf format. In their catalogue it lists the BCF 1, 2 and 3 and then states "there is no subsitute for the following range of cams" and then goes on to list the 224, 234, 244 etc. I agree that a cam change isn't the easiest of things on the X flow as it isn't dead accessible. I have fitted (after checking a 234 without piston mods and would recommend one)
I suspect you'll be happy with both cams but I think a 234 would be preferable. It's up to you though. What's your ultimate end plan? I believe the 234 will have a better spread of power all through the rev range, but you will have to part with some money.....
I am really after something that will just give me that little bit more power but wont ruin the way the car runs and revs ups etc and i want it to be very drivable as i will be using it on a daily basis
