Always hassle insuring a modified old ford.
I'm with Adrian Flux.
First I had to list all the mods to some doris over the phone (spelling most of it to her!)
Then I had to fill out a modified vehicle report listing evey single mod to the car
Then I had to fill out an agreed value form, get an independent valuation, and send them a load of photos of the car.
All sorted now though, so no excuse for not ragging the s**t out of it!
Well as long as the weather's good I'll be there. Was 225bhp at Track n Road in Cossiematt's car.
I read about your engine, hope it's not too bad. Known about your car for years and would love to see it in the flesh.
Certainly is. Mark, who had it before me, practically lived there. I've added a bit of weight and a N/A cossie engine so will be nice to see what it will do now. Thinking of going to the pod on the 16th March.
English axel, 4.44 group 4 quife LSD, modified quaife Atlas shafts and endplates. All done by the previous owner. I've not done one yet but then I haven't really launched it that often in the time I've owned it.
Yeah, seems to most of the time. Even gripped halfway through first the other day, after a little donuting to warm them up, dropped the clutch (don't know what revs, no tacho!) spun for a bit then gripped to the limiter.
I might be completely wrong here but the vernier pulley is better left in it's central position then adjusted on a rolling road? I think you can just time the rest of the engine up normally.
Spoke to one guy in Swanley who had 14 lorries, none of them comply, thinks he may just have to shut down. There is something you can get put on the exhaust of older lorries that will let them comply for another couple of years but costs a couple of grand!
I bet old foreign lorries can do as they please though!
Only difference is in the wear pad, but have seen some with a wear pad on both sides.
I got mine from East Kent Trim but I'm not happy with it. Find somewhere else.
