  1. Forget Spain, take it down to the lakes in Northern Italy. The water's nearly always calm and you can wakeboard for 12 hours a day, or until you have had enough. Took about 14 hours from Calais with a boat on the back
  2. Bloody hell, I used more than that towing mine up with the van! Great day out though. Dumped my car in my parents garage as I don't want to see it at the moment! Some amazing drifting but you'll have to wait for the mag to come out to see it!
  3. Chris, Did I manage to sneak into an empty space on this?
  4. I think you're just being greedy, owning all of these nice cars. I'll take that S1 off your hands if you can't be bothered with it
  5. Took it to a local garage, we agreed on a valuation which he printed up for me. Sent it to Flux with a load of pictures and a Modified Vehicle Report form, which you have to fill out anyway, and two weeks later get my value agreed with paperwork. A word of warning though, DO NOT under any circumstances crash your car without the agreed value, they will only give you 'market value' which probably means fook all.
  6. I'm with Flux. N/A cossie, no rear seats and agreed value at 17k. £350 a year fully comp, 27 years old, 3000 miles. Make sure you speak to the specialist vehicle department
  7. Gutted for you mate, will keep an eye out up here for it.
  8. Come on Chris, add another atmo cossie, you know you want too! I promise lots of tyre shredding
  9. I went last year but they had cancelled it due to health and safety.
  10. Somewhere along the A2 would be best for those from Kent. I'm sure the Medway Mob will meet locally and convoy up anyway.
  11. I've got a panhard rod on my english. Never even seen a watts linkage on one, only ever on an atlas. Wouldn't mind seeing one though!
  12. They look spot on, well the whole car is! Dear Derdrie, I have fallen in love with a Fiesta.
  13. I'd say banded steels are the way to go if you don't want alloys
  14. Gonna look nice gaz. Got to be cheaper and less hassle to have the wheels machined though, no matter how much the purists want to cry about it! I do fancy a polished set on mine with some stretched 175's. You'd better fit some cheap 'nankang nogrip' tyres or you might be waving goodbye to them halfshafts. That Fiesta is King gorgeous! Are they 175 50's?
  15. I've got one, it's connected to an Alimax tank that Alwyn moddified for me Only got an old style cap though.
  16. I'll start a discussion about this in the conributors room then.
  17. Sounds like a good idea, you should really have one preson running it and a rep in each area to visually inspect the cars, they can then agree on a value and produce a valuation certificate. I'm sure anyone wanting a valuation would be willing to pay for it so this could help pay for the running of the site. Win,win situation.
  18. I spoke to the SEOC about valueing my 'slightly' modified Escort a while back, and he said that it won't be worth much more than a standard model. WTF? The guy has lost touch with the modified Escort scene. I agree that you can't expect to value the car at it's new build cost but it will up the value somewhat. I had alot of aggrevation getting a valuation for my insurance, the RSOC won't touch anything but an RS and the SEOC are a waste of time. In the end I took it to a local garage who did me a fair valuation there and then, sent that to Flux with a load of pictures and all the relevent forms and got my agreed valuation a couple of weeks later.
  19. I'm thinking of going, just got to fit a towbar to my van and make and fit a new exhaust to the escort. Won't be going if theres a hint of rain though, 2 hours each way means I'd better get some runs in!
  20. What a mary! Some people are born to fook us all off!
  21. Mine's got XE based cams. Maybe I can get in on a technicality?
  22. I'll be watching, should be a good day out.
  23. If it isn't a money making scheme then why haven't they just put a total ban on older lorries entering the M25? And do foreign lorries have to pay? I very much doubt it. Once again it's the small businesses that will get hit the hardest, having to buy new lorries, and what are their old lorries worth? Jack shit, cause nobody is going to buy a lorry that can't go inside the M25. As for the new congestion charge - how can they even call it a congestion charge when it differentiates on the emissions of your vehicle? Surely it will now have to be called a 'If you've got enough money to drive something flash then you can stump up £25 a day to sit in traffic in the centre of London cause congestion charging makes fook all difference to the amount of traffic charge' I ocassionally have to do a job inside the congestion charge zone, so when I sit in the traffic in the morning in my van full of tools that I need to do the job, what am I surrounded by? i would say at least 70% commercial vehicles/taxis/buses, all sitting in traffic cause we need to be in the centre of London to keep the capital fuctioning. The job I do is for e-on so i just put the congestion charge on the bill and in the end we all end up paying for it! Deep breath, rant over, sorry.
  24. Got one of those a year ago from aldi for £15, Bargain! First thing to do is weld a large plate almost the outside diameter of your tire to it, then drill more holes so that it is a tighter fit around the wheel. I'll be cheking if the lock part needs beefing up right now. Point is if someone wants to nick a car they will, we just have to make it as hard, time consuming, damn near impossible as possible!
