that fiesta wont be in the wrc next year,2011 cars are 1600T that things is 650bhp beast thank god, cos it would be smashed up in 5 secs from the start

Ken Block is a bellend. He's a typical bloke with too much money. All the gear, no idea IMO. I think most people could rag the fook out of a 600hp 4wd fiesta around some cones after a few tries. Just look at him in WRC? He cant pedal a car for shit when it comes to racing. He's more of a showboater, and a good advert for "Freestyle" companies like Monster, DC (his own company), etc. Just my opinion ofcourse, but a guy that attracts 16 year old boys because he can 'donut' is asking for grief. The car is 4x4 for a start and a major credit to the builders who made it Not saying i can drive better than him, but all his vids are the same, and made up of cuts and outakes. Makes nice shoes though I have MUCH more respect for the RWD guys. Much better to watch, and much more skill involved

N/A Cosworth Starter- Pinion to Flywheel contact help???
boXXer replied to boXXer's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
sorted i think -
Got a bit of a problem... Fitted my starter to my N/A cosworth engine last night, and couldnt get it to turn over Its Definately got power, but when you turn the key in the igntion, the starter just "clicks" and doesnt turn the engine over Now, i noticed the pinion on the starter is in constant contact with the flywheel, is this right? I have been reading about how a pre-engaged starter works but im a bit confused by it all. Is the flywheel acually supposed to be constantly spinning the pinion, even when the engines running???? or does it "push" past the flywheel after it has started? The Starter i have, is a high torque item, off my old PINTO. The Cossie i have uses a pinto flywheel, and a pinto alloy bellhousing, but i noticed it has been modded and the mounting flange has been moved further towards the gear selector end by approx 1", if you understand what im saying. so, is my starter the wrong one and does it need spacing backwards away from the flywheel? i.,e so when the ignition is turned to "crank" it throws out the pinion??? Also, i noticed when i unbolted the starter, the engine was SOOO much easier to turn by hand when it wasnt attached to the flywheel. what have i done wrong??? cheers

is worth? im thinking of selling my 2 door shell, to free up some space for another motor im interested in, i was wondering what you lot think it may be worth in its current condition? Floors are good, no welding needed. Needs Sills, wings, (they werent geniune mex anyway), and thats it. The shell is very solid. Inner wings are mint, as it the inside of the car and also the boot. heres some pics of it: what do you think its worth???? cheers

all these people that are saying "your taking sides", "backing him up" etc is a complete load of bollox. everyone thats said his products are good, actually has experience in using them and has purchased those bits from him. Its not like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon saying "i aint bought fook all from him, but his stuff is amazing", is it? -

copied and pasted from my TS post...... at the risk of sounding like im jumping on the "MATES" bandwagon as "joe-tait" so wisely put it, i swear on my grandfathers grave that my cage went straight into my mk1 with no issues whatsoever, well, not more than a 1-2mm tweek here and there to squeeze it in, but TBH, what aftermarket product do you know that actually bolts straight on? for example, i recently bought a world cup x-member from a reputable company, and the fit was shockingly bad. So much so, that i had to elongate holes on both sides to get it to fit AND trim the rear lip right back as it was fouling badly on the sump. Same as ashley exhausts, PLR exhausts, etc. Aftermarket parts fit shit, end of. As for being £150 out of pocket, and the time taken, thats for you and jon to sort out IMO. No one can comment on that..... -
