Couple of years ago I saw a bright blue Capri and it was really nice. The owner said it was the blue color of a Dodge Viper. Looked like Ford performance blue, only darker.

Cosworth all the way for me - 1. Looks so right in the enginebay of an osf 2. sounds good either turbo or n/a. 3. Deliver lots of power. 4. Cosworth has a fine reputation from all sorts of motorsport.

Need some specialist help . . . As the Sierra P100 uses the tick tubed heavy-duty atlas. Does someone know if it's possible to use the CWP (think it's a 4.1) from a Sierra P100 rear axle, into a Capri atlas axlehousing ? Is it correct it's a 4.1 ? Thanks.

I've done it a couple of times on my Escort. Looks dead easy but it's actually quite difficult. I use "chassis-lead", which is a different mixture than plumber solder, a propane torch and solder-paint. It's important that all surfaces are clean and you have a lot of patience. The hard part is seeing the right temperature - to little heat and the lead stays hard - to much and it all lays on the floor.

Hi Gaaz The one I use is an old ESAB 380 volts (perhaps you call it 400 volt in UK) with 200 Amps, which is more than enough for welding panels. But it`s nice to have some extra power for bigger jobs.

I prefer 2 doors but would never turn down a 4 door Escort. I've been to most of the DTM races for the last 2 seasons, My opinion is that DTM these days are nothing but a media circus. They are dead boring to look at, a big V8 producing 400 BHP ain't really a race engine in my ears, and just to fiil the stadiums Audi/Mercedes hands out 20 - 30.000 tickets for free. In the paddock rumours say that some races are arranged to make sure one make don't get to far ahead.

I'd go for a historic race car, running BDA power. I love the look, the sound and the atmosphere around the track/pits. And I'm also convinced that a historic race car is'nt the worst place to invest money, they are expensive today and always will be. Option 1

Is it possible to see the different ratios on these boxes, and compare them? Somewhere on the web

I'm looking for a 5 speed Type 9 gearbox for my mk2 Escort (pinto) The one that came with my engine did'nt have seperate bellhousing, and I suppose that's a problem. I know the ones fitted to V6 engines have better ratios but also a different mainshaft. I've found one from a 1.8TD Sierra with low milage, would that fit on my pinto, and how are the ratios in such a diesel gearbox
