Hi. R-Tec Auto Design, Lyon Way, St Albans ? I'm considering buying a set of alloys from this company. Found them on Ebay, but unfortuanietely they don't offer shipping outside UK. The wheels are not that special, but they are sold out in Denmark and the importer is unable to get more. I'm considering to buy the wheels and arrange the shipping myself, using DHL. Guess that put's me in a bad position if I transfer the money and something isn't right. Think everything is fine, but I just want to hear if someone knows the company Thanks mk2dk

That's a great looking Renault. Not fond of french cars either, but always had a soft spot for these little vans. Postmen used them i Denmark in the 70s. They handled well and did better in terrain than some 4x4s did. Remember from my parents garage, when a postman turned up in his Renault 4 with one front corner sitting very low, it was usually a broken front torsion-spring, and all mechanics suddenly disapeared The doors are stopped by a piece of nylon, looks like a piece belt from french military trousers. mk2dk

In my opinion Top Gear is not made for car entusiasts, we simply look right through and get annoyed. It's made only as entertainment to a wider audience. Guess it's like showing a football fan a match played by actors, he'll spot all mistakes and change channal. mk2dk

Hi mk2xflow. I've tried ebay, but so far without any luck. What would you call this part, if you searched ebay ? perhaps my search isn't good, as I call it "recaro plastic trim" thanks mk2dk

I'm after a plastic trim piece for my fishnet recaro's. It's the part shown in the picture, only the one shown is for LH side, the one I'm missing is for RH side. It's the part behind the wheel, as pointed at, not the wheel center cover mk2dk

Had a couple of Honda Civic GT's in my younger days (perhaps called SI in UK). They were great fun to drive and almost never failed. Last year I was offered an Alfa Romeo 145 QV (cloverleaf) it's the 2.0 16V Twin Spark version. It was cheap as chips, but needed lots of tlc. Took me quite some time to get it sorted, but it was worth it. It's a fantastic car to drive, handling is great and the twin spark engine revs and sounds fantastic.

Mine is bolted onto the chassisrails, just as the crossmember. Rear is an old Tow bar that I cut in pieces.

i'm so sorry for your loss. absolutely unbelieveabel, it dos'nt make sense at all. Let us know if you need help from Denmark, searching or posting parts etc. Hope you find the strength to start a new build.

I've been offered a brand new quick steering-rack for my mk2 Escort project. It's a Rallye Design rack with 2.5 turn lock to lock. 1. Are any of you familiar with the racks from R.S. quality etc ? 2. And is 2.5 turns to aggresive for road use ? Thanks.

In Denmark we have those rules already - 1st mot at 4 years and after that every second year. Think cars older than 35 years is every 8 th year. Is it every 12 mount now in UK ?

Where at FordFair too, and must admit the prices choked us a bit. Was there at 8.45, bought 2 tickets, but took almost an hour to get over the bridge, as they only opened one small gate. Been to FF 5 times and always enjoyed it, but must admit this year we were dissapointed, too much plastic and boom boom boom-music. Never found the rolling-road or 0-60. Great to see the cars from the site though.

With a bit of luck, the missus and I will be visiting Ford Fair this year. Last time we were there I bought some parts for my car, but had a some trouble passing the airport security, as they didn't believe it was car parts that made my suitcase so heavy. I hope to find a couple of parts in the autojumble again this year, but the security-level is even higher now, and I would prefer to send the parts to Denmark using GLS/UPS or similar. Is it possible to buy boxes/pack some parts and post it in the Silverstone area ? We will be staying till tuesday. Thanks

Congratulation on your find Looks like a very solid car, and only 50£, you're a lucky man. Was a simular story that lead me to my silver mk2, I'm so glad I followed up on that - bet you feel the same way. One more saved from the scrabby.

I have a Diamond White sierra, and parked next to a white Fiesta ST, the Diamond White looks very yellow. Don't know the name of that ST color but it's very bright/cold

Very nice mk2 - looks spot on. I have a dvd, think it's called Fastest Fords, on that film a mk2 escork, same color, same wheels etc. are circling on the grass. Is it your car ? and you behind the wheel ?
