Convetring My Mk2 granada 2.8 x to manual. I need a clutch cable setup with a ratchet and pawl for an 83 5spd box and 83 granada pedal box. It seems all parts suppliers are retarded over here (Ireland) and cant source me one. Does anybody on here have a cable or can you put me in touch with someone who can? Cheers, Jim

Anybody on here got a clutch cable for a granada Mk2 with 2.8 and ratchet and pawl on top of pedal. I think the capri one is the same. Need it yesterday as usual. Thanks

I Know what you mean mate no matter how hard ya try some tinker lol gets it for free and laughs at ya. I wish I could tell ya it will change but it probably wont. All I can say is by going to work paying bills and all the other shit that goes with it your kids will hopefully learn to do the same and see that you want better for them. So one day if they follow your example they will want better for their kids. Someone once told me when I was having the kind of day your having that the real hard men are the ones that go to work and the wimps are the lads in jail that get 3 meals a day and a roof over here head for fook all. My mates fireblade got stolen thursday afternoon in broad daylight. His neighbour watched the whole thing. Two lads pull up in an audi one is wearing helmet, leathers the whole lot. The other one opens the boot of the audi and takes out a con saw cuts both locks off and drives away. The other one climbs on bike screwdriver in to the ignition and then just drives away. Took approx 3 mins. Car came back as stolen once the cops eventually showed up. He is absolutely gutted.

Try Loctite rust remover just brusk it on and wait. Changes composition from to a hard surface. Used it on my car and had no problems so far. There is nothing like repairing a panel and having it rust again in the same spot.

Looks crap nothing like a capri. Blame the Gov and oil company US just starts doing retro cars like mustang,camaro, charger, And the price of oil shoots up again like in the 70s when these cars were killed off the first time. Got to have rear wheel drive and not look like all the other bland boring stuff out there.

Sorry for ya troubles mate, It always seems that so called parts profesional have a way of srewing up stuff constantly so ya have do the job twice. Hang in there..........

Just get a 83-92 5.0 litre mustang ho motor 300 bhp to begin with a complete car including 5sp manual box will cost ya about 1800 quid. + 350 for shipping. Bolt on paxton supercharger 200 quid extra 150 bhp on top. Runs on normal fuel. If its too heavy bout 800 quid will get you Edelbrock 2.02 fuelie heads a matched intake and exhaust manifold and carb. 500bhp plus. Oh yeah and if thats not enough bolt on nitrous. As someone who built a couple of these although it was in the states, Its the cheapest most reliable horsepower you can buy. The technology may be old but whats the point in having a really cool claw hammer when you can just use a F0000000000king sledgehammer to do the job. I should have the above in my granada by the end of next year without having to sell one of the children to finance it or sticking my missus out on the corner!. I will see all of the atmo powered cossies, duratec, zetec, xe or whatever ya got next year at the track. Ps, If Im wrong... How come I never seen any of the above engines in an NHRA drag car?

You always get tossers like that, Keep their cars in a climate controlled garage and trailer em everywhere. But afraid to drive em in case they get a scratch. Like being with a supermodel and afraid to throw your leg over.........

If you get a ticket let me know m8. Heres how it works in Ireland u get your ticket in the post and say your mate from England who was over for the weekend was driving the car. Since they cant prove who was in it and you included his UK driving licence number which they never check. All you get is the fine and NO POINTS. Might work over there too.

Got my Mk2 ghia x home from England without to many hiccups. The down side is now I have to take the Mrs and the kid to disney in florida. ( there is always a catch}. I was looking on ebay earlier at a cheap 5.0 mustang having lived in the US for a couple of years I know a bit about them. I was wondering does anybody have any experience with shipping a car in from the US. Just wondering how much it would cost. The one I spotted purely by coincedence just happens to be in florida and would make a very nice donor car for my Mk2. Cheers Jim

If your worried about your welds mate, stick a couple of 10 mill bolts in between the gears then just turn your machine up and weld the hell out of it. That worked for me when I did banger racing. I never had one break.
