  1. for 600 bhp surely you want a trick tubular manifold saying that i had a friend run 490 bhp (genuine not pub talk) on a 2wd one no probs i totaly agree a 2wd one flows better
  2. must be getting rare now you see less mk4/mk5 tinas than the older mk1 an mk2 althou given the choice a mk2 two door would be what the doctor ordered
  3. if im honest its probably a little too much but i was offered a good setup from a friend breaking a cossie all cheap to cheap to miss really

  5. 4x4 ones dont flow as good as 2wd ones but the set up i got is good for 360-370 plenty in a mk1

  7. im not to sure if that will fit as standard mk1 escort clutch pedals have the loop an pin an clip set up i used just a standard mk1 escort cable with my t9 gearbox with standard 5ierra bellhousing worked fine
  8. i got a aluminium battery tray on the wheel well with a good sized battery fitted i just made my own mounts to fit the tray you can use a twin cam tray that will fit but they are very expensive
  9. looking at the 2nd schematic i cannot see any reason why it would be a problem fitting it either way apart from as you say water on the filter but if its inside the car you shouldnt have any issues there

  21. i was very reluctant to fit bonnet vents im still unsure if i like them but i need them to keep the engine bay temps down
  22. i would love to use a escort as a daily but my last mk1 i used a daily for just over a year having a car like that you always seem to worry about the attention it attracts couldnt leave it anywhere for long periods worrying about it being nicked also the fuel it used was astronomical with the twin 40's maybe as i coundnt help but rag it every where an i couldnt bear to see my pride an joy rust away through using it all year round it deteriated quite quickly seeing one winter im not really a great fan of cleaning so my new mk1 is a summer toy an staying a toy
