The 100e's were out in force last night & even outnumbered the Escorts Those two 105e's were the nuts

They came on late zodiac (executives) & corsair 2000e's.Seen quite a few n ebay recently

I want the tops mounts to give me more negative camber,besides I already have adjustable tca's mate & i have about 10mm worth of thread left on them to bring the bottoms in but apparently that wont be enough. I appreciate your offer mate but the car is built on a budget & i was reluctant to spend £170 for the top mounts so im not gonna spend the same again on the tca's aswell. Shame because thats the one thing that bugs me about the car but it can stay like it now Anyway,back on topic. west wales rally spares do strut braces for £35

I realise that Baz but i first got in touch over a year ago after reading in Retro ford it was their latest product. They told me they needed finishing & they would put me on the list & contact me when they were done,ive been enquiring throughout the year & they always said the same thing "the bits are all cut & just need to be welded" Im quite prepared to wait while they are made to order but you said they are finished & youd seen them (which led me to believe they have at least one pair made? what else could you have meant) When i saw them listed on the website i rang them up to order a pair & found they will only work if i buy another pair of track control arms at a cost of £162,despite me already having the rest of their kit the top mounts are not compatible unless you buy their latest kit. A shame nobody informed me of that a year ago when they were being developed! This is the 4th thing ive tried to order for the car this week & ive been let down every time-no wonder people give up on projects if this is what happens

How much Hope they make them quicker than the other stuff they have listed

To put a crossflow in your 100e you will still have to mod the bulkhead & tunnell,they dont just drop straight in as people would have you believe,Twinkles is a 107e which has a recessed bulkhead & different crossmember from the factory & you will still have to stretch the tunnell widthways anyway. Crossflow is probably less work but your pinto is free & the capri will also have some useful bits if you decide to go for a rack conversion.........Depends on your budget/whether you intend to mod the engine further/what you are using the car for etc

As i said above if you use the electric pump from an R1 or similar you dont need a regulator-this was the advice from Steve at Bogg Bros & about 100 people on the locost forum,my car has been using this setup for a year now

They are standard rubber ones that go in the R1 airbox

My R1 carbs were fed by an electric pump on the bike & this is what ive used on the 100e (my pump cost about £10) this goes straight to the carbs without the need for a seperate regulator giving you a tidyer (& cheaper) install.Ive heard people have run into problems when using facet or similar pumps with a regulator on bike carbs. Mine have been on the car a year now & they still run sweet even though ive never got round to having them set up! As ive said in other posts they drive really nice with them with no hesitation/coughing or farting (just the odd spit from cold as ive not connected the choke) Glad i bought them when i did because there was no waiting list & the price has gone up by nearly £100. If you need any info on them do a search on www.locostbuilders.co.uk theyve been bolting bike carbs onto stuff for ages

175 50s on the front -195 45s on the rear *edit* if they are 13" that is !

As above,so it depends how wide your rims are. 175/50s are the norm but they bulge a bit on my 5.5js. I did run 165 60s on one of my old mk1s with 5 inch rims they looked pretty low
