Looks like Signal Orange to me, my mate had a Capri in this colour, its a lot deeper than Vista Orange.

You should be able to tell what they from the casting number on the side of the block and under the thermostat housing on the head. Let me know what your numbers are and we should be able to tell you what cc they are.

Yeah its a great feeling of both joy and relief when you get those words, "It passed". I had about 10 guys from the garage looking over my car when it was on the ramp for its MOT, the owner of the garage even offered me £8000 for it but I said sorry its not for sale. I am after a gear lever mounting tower for a 3 rail gearbox as fitted to the Anglia and MK1 Cortina. This is the one with the reverse gear drop link. I am in the Midlands but willing to travel for the right item. What you got? Thanks Ian

Just watched the special on Sky for this, I will hold off on judgement until I have seen it but it looks like it is full of action. As said if you can remember the originals then you will have a different view, but if you have not seen these then it could be a very good watch. In my case I can remember the originals and boy does Mel Gibson look young in them!!!!

Oh that reminds me of my old "D" reg Anglia, that was bubble arched and red, NXC 88D was the reg, was running a 1500 pre-crossflow when I sold it. Nice looking car by the way.

First one is a DB6 I think, also seem to remember that a Transit van was mentioned, can't remember any of the others.

Sounds like the prop shaft is out of balance, or a UJ on its way out. Either way its just a case of getting the flanges swapped over, any transmission place should be able to do it for you. I just had one done for my Anglia and had a new UJ fitted at the same time, only cost me £20. Worth a try as once you undo the nut in the centre of the diff all the settings go out of the window and it is not an easy job to set up at home.

What size is the flange on the diff at the moment as there are 3 different sizes? It is easier to change the flange on the prop to fit as this does not alter any of the diff settings. I have a small flange for the prop shaft if it is the same size as your diff one.
