yeh the sound is earth shattering!

the one that blew me away. i was sat behind it in a que of traffic and it had an exhaust so big you could live in it and the sound vibrated my steering wheel

but damn it flew! put wings on it adn you have a 2 person aircraft!

no urte all wrong the best thing about the rx 7 is when u are talking about it you get to say wankel lol

what ever happened to that bike norton were making with a wankel rotary in it i saw in a copy of mcn last year it soundeed orgasmic they were gona use high pressure gas to seal the tips of the "piston" against the engine casing so there would be no rubbing and the tips of the "piston" wouldnt wear out and with no friction there would be very little need for a rev limiter you could make it rev soooo damn high ... oooo kinky

the bloke i bought the skyline of had an RX7, he said it had about 450bhp and when it worked it absolutly flew. but there very temperametal, love a drop of jiuce too. but in my opinion, one of the sexiest looking cars going.

ive seen the thread of this convertion somewhere, possibly driftworks.

But one thing......

Why relieve a rotary car of the one engine that made it so famous,

and put a normal piston engine in its place :?:

Jus makes no sense to me :?

RX7's ain't 'Jap crap' one of the best enginerred cars to come from Japan.

The reason a YB is in that car is because the geezer who owns it knows YB's more then he does a rotary.

the way i see it is it would be like puting a subaru impreza engine in a cossie and a cossie in a subaru ??? but it would be cool 2 have a mk1 with a flat four like the rotary mk2 wat a sound both make!!!
