capriclive Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 stripped the capper engine yesterday to do the head gasket. i had a spare pair of heads ready to go on to save a bit of time cleaning the ones on it. once stripped, i cleaned the piston tops. thats when i noticed pistons stamped with +.60 which means its actually 3100cc, not standard 3000. bit of a result i think... i then happen to spot that the heads look different. the valves in the spare heads i have are 37mm exhaust, and 41mm inlet, which after checking the book, are standard 3000. the valves in the heads on it are 40mm exhaust, and 44mm inlet. double result. not only is it 3100cc, it has big valve heads on it!! i always thought it was a bit quick, but its the first 3000 ive owned ive had nothing to compare it with.
erick Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Nice when you get a result mate, just need to stick some triple webers on it and have some fun.
